Clothing haul

I am so happy with these two purchases that I got recently. The jumper is from Zara and the blazer topshop.

Jumper cost £24.99 which I think is quite reasonable for Zara as their clothing is always great quality and washes really well (bonus). It's one of those jumpers that you probably won't wear in a years time due to the ridiculous amount of tassels, but it's fun and a great pick for spring.

Next up is topshop ponte boyfriend blazer £40. Topshop always confuses me, a plain badly made top costs £30 and a gorgeous well structured blazer cost £40 how does that make sense? Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this I love how comfy it feels on and how it fits so well especially round the shoulder area. Everyone needs to check these out, they come in an array of different colours.

YSL Glossy Lip Stain

I was so excited to get one of these fab lip stains at the weekend. There are 20 shades altogether. Some are really bright but thankfully there were a few lighter shades in the mix for the less daring makeup junkie.

I opted for shade #12 Corail Fauve. It's such a pretty spring/summer colour.

I love the idea of lip stains, and have tried so many in the past, but they have been such a let down due mainly to the formulation. A lot of lip stains come in a pen were you put the product on like a felt tip. What I hate about these is the fact that they last about a month before they dry up and can never be used again (hello Mac). Other issues have been that lipstains are very drying and therefore very unflattering. Of course, this can be overcome by religiously using a lip scrub such as the one from Lush, but that takes a lot of effort and I just don't have the time at 6am.

Sorry for deviating into a short rant, onto the product in question. What is so different about YSL is the formulation of this lip stain. It's a glossy stain with a tacky gel like consistency when first applied to the lips. It doesn't show up any cracks on the lips and actually looks like a gloss.

I was working 8 hours today and only reapplied this once and when I got home the stain was still visible on my lips.

This product cost £22 and I am so happy with it. I really am converted, and can't wait to try some of the other shades.

Bicester Village Haul

Last weekend i went to visit my friend in the Cotswolds (how posh does that sound) haha, anyway she lives near a designer outlet called Bicester village.  I suppose the only thing we could compare it to in Northern Ireland would be Juntion 1 in Antrim or The Outlet in Banbridge.  Bicester is absolutley huge, it houses some of my favourite designers such as Mulberry, Prada, Anya Hindmarch and Tory Burch.  Like any girl who goes shopping I had already decided what I was going to purchase, a Mulberry scarf and a pair of Tory Burch pumps.

Mulberry had some gorgeous bags in store, but the accessories were well picked over, so I was a little disappointed.  I did however, buy a gorgeous citrus Tamara scarf reduced to £71 from £105.

This side of the scarf is white with citrus trees

Its such a gorgeous scarf and super soft.

Tory Burch didn't have any pumps that I liked in store so I went back to Mulberry and made another cheeky purchase...

Black printed leather pocket book £95 down from £200.

An unnecessary purchase, but I intend to be very organised in 2012 and this little beauty will help me do this.

My last purchase was from Reiss, a shop I rarely go into as I feel although the clothes are beautifully made, they are also very expensive.  I prefer to spend extra on accessories that I will be able to use twenty years from now than on a top that I will more than likely spill something on after 20 minutes of wear.

Major apologies for the bad photos my camera isn't great, hopefully getting a new one for my birthday.

Bargain Purchase

I absolutely love seeing what The Saturdays are wearing on a day-to-day basis.  My favourite is Frankie, she is just so effortlessly perfect.  I recently spotted her on coolspotters wearing a gorgeous multi-coloured stone necklace on a gold chain.  Looking at the necklace I instantly thought big bucks, but when I actually clicked on it, I was surprised to see it was from Asos and cost £22.00.  Two clicks later it was purchased, and two days later it was at my house.

How amazing is this outfit, such a colour burst!

You can still buy this necklace at asos

Mac haul and FOTD

I was off today and decided to go into town and buy some new makeup.  I have been after a new foundation for ages, I have tried so many lately and haven't been happy with them.  I had heard good reports about pro longwear foundation so I decided to head down to MAC and try it.  The MA was so friendly, she came straight over to me and asked could she help.  Usually I say no but she wasn't pushy or forward so I was glad of her assistance.  She colour matched me to Mac pro longwear NC25, and it is definitely a perfect match for me.  When it came to concealer she used NW20, I have never tried any of the warmer shades, but she said that NW20 would conceal my under eye area a lot better than the NC would.  I have to say she was right, usually my under eye area can look a little ashy and grey, but the NW really concealed the area and took away any dark circles.  I also a purchased Mineralize skin finish bronzer  in give me sun.  Amazing contouring product, I can see myself reaching for this a lot in the upcoming summer months-as if we get sun in Belfast!  Lastly I purchased my trustee viva glam lipstick, I seriously went through like 10 tubes of this last year.  Its the most gorgeous nude lipstick I have ever tried.
