Nars Jungle Red

Welcome to the Jungle

Nars Jungle Red is my first venture into the "red family". Usually I leave polish for my feet and even then its a boring nude colour that wont grab anyone's attention.  I recently received this polish for my birthday and was very excited to try such an intense colour.

Compared to other red polishes jungle red is a true red.  One coat of polish is almost opaque but I always give it two coats and then use a clear polish over to get it a shiny finish.  I wore the polish for 4 days without any chipping, (please bear in mind I sit at a desk all day) but nevertheless I think this is positive for any polish.

Nars nail polishes are pricey at £14 a pop, but just like makeup you get what you pay for and this nail polish definitely wont disappoint.

You can check it out here at Nars.

Zara Haul

It was my birthday recently and I ordered a few pieces from Zara with some birthday money that I received.  The order took over a week to get here, and didn't disappoint when it arrived. Zara is bang on trend this season and I am really enjoying the pastel shades, different textures and loose fitted blouses with structured blazers.

My favourite item to wear is blouses, I absolutely love them especially buttoned right to the top.  A blouse can easily take you from day to night by exchanging pumps for heels and the right accessories.

Here is the items I got at Zara:

First up is a sheer white blouse with a gorgeous studded collar.  The material is very flowy and flattering.  This blouse needs to be buttoned up to the top to get the full WOW factor of the beautiful studded detail.  I will say however that all the Zara blouses I own are quite restricting when buttoned up to the top, this doesn't bother me but I know some people would prefer a looser collar.
I think a panel covering the buttons on a blouse is very classic and gives a real high end feel.
Another beautiful Zara blouse in sea green with little gold flecks scattered all over.  The buttons are made of shell and therefore very delicate.

Black structured blazer from the TRF range.  I got this blazer in a medium, and intend to wear it with a plain basic vest or t-shirt.  The material is very thick which is strange for a spring/summer piece but its a staple item that I will be able to carry through the seasons.
The scoop neck is very flattering and I think it would be beautiful to add a very fine gold necklace to complete the look.
